Academician of the Russian Academy of Sciences since 2000. The Laureate  of State Prize (1994), Prize of the Council of Ministers of the USSR (1981), Prize of RAS (2000), Lomonosov Prize for Science (2002).

From 1969 to 1975 S.K.Korovin worked at the Institute of Control Sciences. Now he works at the Institute of System Analysis, RAS, where from 1975 to 1996 he grew up in the career from a leading engineer to a chief scientific officer. In 1984 he defended a thesis for the Doctor of Science on “Control systems with electrically adjustable ties”. Since 1996, S.K.Korovin – the Professor of nonlinear dynamical systems and control processes departure in the Faculty of Computational Mathematics and Cybernetics of the Moscow state University. Main scientific achievements of S.K.Korovin relate to the theory of control of complex dynamic systems. He is the author of 250 scientific works, including 50 inventor's certificates.
