"The band matrixes and their positive definiteness"

Abstract.  Theorem about  positive definiteness of the band matrixes ( aij = f (| i − j |) ), which are widely used in mathematical biology problems, in the case of nonnegative non-increasing non-strictly convex non-constant setting function f ( x) is presented.
