Abstract. 

In this paper, the problem of template recognition of identity documents is considered. This problem is one of the key subtasks of modern recognition systems of identity documents. The paper presents a conceptual diagram of the architecture of the recognition system, defines the place of the document template recognition module, and considers in detail the key stages of document template processing.
