Abstract.
The article discusses some areas of development of electronic document management systems. Their implementation will significantly expand the capabilities of such systems and, accordingly, will contribute to further automation of business processes at enterprises of all forms of ownership and all sectors of the economy. Issues related to ensuring information security in the context of a changing regulatory framework, features of work in organizations with an extensive organizational structure, the use of barcoding, features of work at the end of the calendar year and the organization of an electronic document management archive are considered.
