Аннотация. В работе рассмотрен опыт Южно-Африканской Республики в области организации и финансирования науки. Отмечены национальные особенности научно-технической политики, механизмов поддержки науки. Описаны процедуры экспертизы научных проектов. Приведены примеры научных достижений ученых ЮАР. Сформулированы рекомендации по использованию опыта ЮАР.
