Abstract.

The article introduces the concept of a socially significant project as a large-scale event, the consequences of which are more reflected in the economic situation of enterprises, organizations, and individuals who are not related to this project than in the economic situation of the direct participants of the project. A methodological approach to calculating the effectiveness of such projects and taking into account external effects is described. The advantages of this approach in comparison with the use of multipliers calculated using macroeconomic models are analyzed.

Keywords:

socially significant investment project, large-scale transport project, real public profit of the project, external effect, multiplier, intersectoral balance.
