Abstract. 

The article shows that in the process of digitalization of social life, a special form of a communicative situation arises, in which an idea of a new, “virtual” subjectivity is formed. And the world into which a person “immerses” when mastering computer-mediated communication is perceived by him as a space of virtual interactions in which the individual “I” of an Internet user is presented as a digital copy of his personality. A feature of the emerging “digital twin” is the multiplicity of its images, or “hypostasisthis”, determined by the variety of interactive network interactions and dependence on the proposed roles. It is shown that the perceived multi-layeredness of the “digital personality” of a person is considered as an identity crisis, the impossibility of maintaining the integrity of one’s own “I” in the virtual space environment. The article analyzes some conceptual models proposed to preserve the idea of the integrity of the user’s personality when “entering” the network space, overcoming the feeling of instability and unsteadiness of individual existence.
