"Role of information technology in realization of the concept of healthy geroprotective nutrition"

Abstract. Computer technology optimization helps to solve one of the greatest problems of modern dietetics - to provide a high density nutritional diet of low or moderate calories. The problem of multicriteria optimization is mathematically seriously difficult. The solution is to develop an interactive dialogue procedure that implements step by step instructions for the physician on the formulation and solution of the problem of optimizing the diet. As an example, the optimization of a standard food basket of the Russian Federation is demonstrated. We show how the diet that is relevant to modern nutritional and taste requirements, based on typical, everyday food, can be created. Such diets are health-improving, ageing prevention, and preventive for the majority of non-communicable diseases. Wide use of the proposed technology for diets creation, education and promotion of healthy eating could have a significant impact on the culture of eating and create a demand for healthy food. Strong demand, in turn, may lead to positive changes in agriculture and food industry.

Keywords: computer optimization of nutrition, health, ageing prevention, chronic non-communicable diseases, information technology, food culture, food basket of the Russian Federation.
