Аннотация. В статье анализируются некоторые направления фундаментальной науки, которые могут стать драйверами модернизации экспортно-ориентированных производств России. Исследуется опыт государственной поддержки науки в федеральных агентствах и со стороны администрации США. Анализируются методические подходы к оценке эффективности деятельности научно-исследовательских организаций, а также результативности исследователей.
