Abstract.

The paper considers the problem of automatic framing of projective transformed images. Two methods for solving the problem are proposed based on the concept of pixel scaling under the transformation. An empirical comparison of the proposed methods is conducted. In the experiment the fraction of cropped background is estimated. The experiment uses real dataset containing projectively distorted images of pages of Russian civil passports.
